Co-op is always fun, but it can get slightly buggy, but it's so easy to join games so it's not a major problem if you need to restart the game to fix it. I would play co-op with you, but I already have 2 people to play co-op with, and a 3rd person from work joining the que.
You can do matchmaking co-op with a random person, the game matches you up with people who are at a similar point in the story. Just be careful with the voice chat, its default setting is for it to be always on and it plays through your speakers.
Also I think SR3 is miles better than SR2, the previous Saints Row games were just copies of GTA with worse humour. SR3 has set itself apart by stepping up the level of crazy and making the characters constantly point out how crazy half of the stuff they are doing actually is. You might just need to get through the first set of missions, because those are literally just tutorials for the side missions, later on you get some sort of plot and the level of batshit crazy mental stuff you do goes through the roof.
EDIT: I always run out of money making cars early game, here are a few of my favourites...
...aaaaaand a new addition to the family, the Venga Bus
It includes the whole story, but you only see your own character in the cut scenes. You should try and tune the Street Sweeper and some of the more boring cars, they tend to have the most extreme body modifications.
My mates have bought a server, UK120 (not the UK flag one, it's the one on Recruit, based in Switzerland or the Nederlands I think), so far it's the most violent server I've ever played on, at one point there were at least 3 groups of 4 or 5 people fighting around Cherno, it has calmed down since then though.
I'm currently being very boring, but also following the objective and just surviving. I have everything I need to survive in the middle of nowhere, all I need are animals, trees and a source of water. My current character has been alive for almost a full 24 hours game time, roughly that amount anyway, I've not been keeping track of it.
If you're low on blood it's best to find someone to help you get a blood transfusion. You can easily find blood packs at hospitals, but players tend to hang around there.
I've been playing the game for a few weeks, my username is "Mess is Law" and at the moment me and my mates have a very good collection of items. My friends found a camp that had 3 tents, 5 vehicles and loads of very rare items, including 6 night vision goggles and two British 50.cal sniper rifles, after they looted it the server went offline and it's not come back yet, so we suspect it was the admin or server owners camp. We tend to play on the Seattle servers, at the moment we are hunting players, it's easier than looting rare items yourself but it does attract a fair bit of attention. Yesterday some guy came looking for us and ended up standing about 2 feet in front of my mate without realising, that is until my other friend up on the hill unloaded a few rounds from is M249 Saw into his chest.
So I'm loving the mod, just surviving is difficult enough, especially if you're on your own, so I suggest you find some friends to play with you. We have a group of about 7 people playing.
Well watching it live my opinion was that Maldonado decided to hit Hamilton, rather than accidentally hitting him. But I will wait for some non-fanboy opinions from the guys who actually know their stuff and race in real life, because they're the only sensible people posting in these threads most of the time.
EDIT: I agree that it was Alonso's best drive, he has grown on me so much and I can't help but cheer for him in every race.
Here we go again, in my opinion Maldonado could have easily backed out and waited another lap, and it seems whenever he hits someone it's deliberate, he makes a decision to make contact rather than over committing or losing control. Having said that, Hamilton could have given him the place and taken 4th knowing how much of an **** Maldonado is, and that's what I expected him to do considering his more cautious approach this season.
But moving on from the idiots, you have to say Alonso is the best driver on the grid, he consistently exceeds expectations and given a better car he would dominate this season.
Hamilton did a great job today, it was a very mature and measured performance. Alonso and Vettel had no hope of winning, they had to gamble, it didn't pay off but I respect the effort. Perez was my driver of the day though, fantastic performance again from him.
"Car clubs, time trials, circuit racing, a one-on-one rivals mode, and playground games are among the online multiplayer features that are already confirmed"
So no confirmed multiplayer free roam yet, hopefully that will make the cut like you said.
The physics look kind of the same, the only concern I have is the level of customisation. Hopefully we will still be able to paint our cars and tune them the same way we would in the other games.
I heard Modestep and passed out during the E3 reveal, so thank you for that link. I don't suppose anyone knows of a place that can overnight me some replacement underwear?
Forget that, Southampton FC is the EPL shopping center of choice.
Peter Crouch
Kenwyne Jones
Ricardo Fuller
Kevin Davies
Leon Best
Nathan Dyer
Gareth Bale
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Theo Walcott
Chris Baird
Gary Monk
Wayne Bridge
Danny Higginbotham
Andrew Surman
Danny Guthrie
Rory Delap
All of those are ex-Saints players currently playing in the EPL. My favourite player Alan Shearer also started his career at Southampton.
Getting back on the topic of football, it seems like Chelsea are signing Hulk, and they've already signed Hazard, if those two players hit the ground running then Chelsea will be a serious threat. Liverpool and Spurs will have to strengthen their squads if they want a top 4 finish.
The tit also said racist symbols can be seen at any game in England...
The BNP and EDL can't stage a rally or walk the streets without getting their heads kicked in for being racist. I've never seen a Nazi symbol displayed at a game, and if someone did do that then they would be arrested, not ignored.
I really hope there are no problems during the tournament, but considering the organisers and authorities refuse to accept there is a problem it seems likely that any incidents will go unchecked.
Live for Speed is less unique and revolutionary than Carmageddon, and the potential market for the game is quite small. I doubt LFS would raise enough money to pay the wages of even one extra developer.
Lets just see how the actual event turns out, hopefully they will come down hard on anyone being racist in the crowd, because if the police don't crack down on the home fans then I expect visiting nation fans will crack a few skulls attempting to beat some sense into these mindless ****tards.
The traffic built up behind the Renault engines today, they might lack top speed but the launch they get out of the corners isn't too shabby. Anyway, great win for Mark, it would have been nice to get some rain just to spice up the action though.
The Polish guy that did the plastering for our loft conversion used to play in the u21 Polish international football team, you'll forgive me for not remembering his name, I'm sure it was something like Pszkcsviskzi.
